Every one of our 70+ coaches started where you are now — water-confident, good with people, and with zero coaching experience. We train you from scratch, pay for it, and grow you into a swim teacher children never forget.
Our mission is simple: teach swimming to reduce drowning. That only scales with great coaches — so instead of searching for them, we make them. You bring energy, patience and love for the water. We bring the system that turns that into skill.
Level 1 training is paid for by Stingrays — online modules, in-water sessions and a mentor. You don't pay anything.
Classes run mostly on Saturdays and Sundays, so coaching fits around university or a weekday job.
Coaches are independent contractors paid a monthly fee for their regular sessions, with rewards that grow as you level up.
A verifiable Stingrays certificate, and a CV line that says you can lead, follow a curriculum and show up.
Each level unlocks with logged teaching hours and sign-offs from two senior trainers — tracked in the Stingrays Hub app.

No. Every Stingrays coach starts with zero coaching experience. We train you from scratch, paid for by Stingrays, and you teach your first classes alongside a mentor.
You should be able to swim 25 m of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and be comfortable in the deep end. We confirm this at a short swim test — technique for teaching is something we train.
